Nik Schatz

After an extensive search for our next lead pastor, the membership of Spring Branch Community Church affirmed the call of Pastor Nik Schatz for this position on June 20, 2025. We are excited for the Schatz family's arrival this August.

Pastor Nik comes to us with 14 years experience in full time pastoral ministry. He has served in churches of various sizes and regions of the U.S. Nik holds a Masters in Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary and a Doctorate in Ministry from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary.

We believe Pastor Nik's leadership will continue to grow our spiritual health and strengthen our community outreach. His heart for discipleship, serving and ministry aligns perfectly with our church's vision to "love God, love people, and make disciples of Jesus Christ."

Discipleship Pastor

Kevin Magee

For the past year, Rev. Kevin Magee has served as the interim pastor for Spring Branch Community Church. Kevin is no stranger to SBCC as he served on staff from 2006 -2015 in various positions from Director of Student Ministry to Pastor of Adult & Family Ministries. Prior to this interim season, he also served as an elder. It was during a difficult time of transition for the church that he felt called to step in and serve in the way that God has uniquely wired him to do. His dedicated heart for our community has guided him in providing pastoral leadership and care for our staff, ministry leaders, volunteers and church community. We are forever grateful to Rev. Magee and his family for their prayerful decision to support Spring Branch during this interim season.

The good news is that God is still calling Kevin to serve at Spring Branch. The elders were delighted to announce they asked Kevin to consider the new position of Discipleship Pastor and he has accepted. Kevin holds a Masters degree in Transformational Leadership from Bethel University & Seminary.
